Sibos is the leading annual conference, exhibition and networking organized by Swift for the financial industry, and it will take place from 29 September to 02 October 2025 in the locations of Messe Frankfurt.
“Each year Sibos brings together the global financial community to debate and collaborate in the areas of payments, securities, trade, technology and innovation to collectively shape the future of the financial industry. We are delighted to be partnering with Frankfurt am Main for our 2025 edition”, says Jaime Lee, Global Head of Swift events & Sibos.
Sibos brings together business leaders, decision makers and topic experts from across the global financial ecosystem to exchange ideas and share insights. Thousands of participants are expected to attend as delegates; and a wide range of national and international banks, fintech and technology organisations will be exhibiting on more than 50,000 square meters of exhibition space. In addition to the Congress Centre and Forum, the event will also take place in Hall 3. And, as usual, the in-person Sibos will be complemented by a rich layer of hybrid activities and digital content.
"We are very pleased that our efforts to host this global rolling congress in our Messe Frankfurt's locations have borne fruit. With our modern, flexible facilities – right in the heart of the city -, our perfect infrastructure, customized spectrum of first-class services and our dedicated, highly motivated staff, Sibos will find a professional and warm home," says Michael Biwer, Head of Guest Events at Messe Frankfurt.
Frankfurt am Main, as a leading international financial centre, is the perfect choice for the event. Not only renowned German credit institutions, but also international banks and industry institutions are based here. The unique network of financial services thus makes the city the place to go for start-up companies in the fintech sector. Frankfurt am Main is showing the greatest growth in this area in all of Germany. In addition, Frankfurt am Main was selected as the seat of the board of the new International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). With this body, the city will play a central role in curbing "greenwashing" in the future.
"Swift's decision to hold Sibos in Frankfurt am Main in 2025 is a great endorsement for our financial centre. The international event additionally benefits from the excellent location factors such as connectivity, hotel offerings and cosmopolitanism. We are proud and happy to welcome the event to Frankfurt," says Jutta Heinrich, Head of the Frankfurt Convention Bureau.
