The new Hall 5 is a further milestone in the ongoing development of the Frankfurt exhibition grounds and contributes to its outstanding location quality. The construction project began in December 2019 and is now nearing completion. Michael Biwer, Vice President Guest Events at Messe Frankfurt, is very happy with the new addition to the exhibition grounds: “The new hall’s direct access to the large Harmonie hall in the Congress Center offers event organisers a flexible combination of congress and exhibition venue. This allows us to meet the growing demand for conference facilities combined with event space.”
Hall 5 is an important building in the east of the Frankfurt exhibition grounds. It is connected to the Congress Center on the one side and the neighbouring Hall 6 on the other. One particularly impressive feature of the state-of-the-art hall is its column-free Level 1, which can be divided up into a number of different areas. With the connection via the large West Foyer to Hall 6.1, the exhibition space can be expanded if required to include Hall 6’s 26,000 m² on three levels. Level 0 in Hall 5 has two large access points leading to the expansive outdoor exhibition area and also includes a comfortable café. Up on part level 5.1.1. of the hall, there is a spacious, divisible conference room for around 350 persons with a rooftop terrace.
The hall has a green roof that makes a positive, ecological contribution to the city climate while also demonstrating Messe Frankfurt’s sustainable business practices.
