Mesago Messe Frankfurt to organise INTERGEO as of 2028

As of 2028, INTERGEO – sponsored by DVW e.V., the German Association for Geodesy, Geoinformation and Land Management – will be organised by Mesago Messe Frankfurt, who will be taking over from the event’s current partner, Hinte Expo & Conference GmbH. DVW and Hinte will be continuing their successful working relationship up to and including INTERGEO 2027.

DVW and Mesago Messe Frankfurt will further develop the trade fair and optimise it for the future. INTERGEO’s steady growth and ever-increasing internationalisation made it necessary to rethink INTERGEO. Sustainability aspects like reusing stand construction material and organisational synergy effects are also significant factors. INTERGEO will be held in Frankfurt every year from 2028 onwards.

The excellent international transport connections and the opportunity to have a permanent slot in October are of great importance here. Wolfgang Marzin, President and Chief Executive Officer of Messe Frankfurt, adds: “Our subsidiary Mesago Messe Frankfurt is a highly experienced event organiser with over 40 years’ expertise in technology-oriented trade fairs. Every year, Mesago Messe Frankfurt organises highly specialised trade fairs and congresses with a focus on technology. With around 160 employees, Mesago Messe Frankfurt brings international expertise to the table as well as establishing close ties between its events and many partners from associations, publishing houses, scientific institutes and universities.”

INTERGEO is the international flagship fair and leading platform for the geoinformation sector. In future, a total of 571 exhibitors from over 40 countries (2023) will be showcasing their products and solutions in Frankfurt every year. In 2023, INTERGEO attracted around 17,800 visitors, of which around 45 percent came from outside Germany. Because of the short innovation cycles and great momentum in this area, the trade fair concept needs to be constantly revised and updated so that INTERGEO will remain the leading sector platform in the future as well. INTERGEO is already scheduled to be held in Frankfurt in 2025 and 2027, illustrating the trend towards the one-venue strategy and underlining the steps that are being continually taken to align the event with the needs of the market.

DVW will remain responsible for the conference accompanying INTERGEO, which will continue to be a central part of the most important platform in its sector. Here, leading experts from science and academia, sector players, associations, societies and policymakers come together to set the course for the future and discuss innovative solutions for the most pressing challenges of our time.
